Engage with the local art community and find unique handcrafted items in this welcoming Harwich cultural space.
4th Annual Barn Raisers Day
Celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the community barn‑raising tradition, participants construct miniature Ag Halls from cardboard, Legos, and craft supplies. Snacks and warm drinks are provided as volunteers collaborate on creative models that will later be displayed at the Barn Raisers Ball. The hands‑on activity welcomes all ages and showcases the island’s strong spirit of cooperation.
32nd Annual Barn Raisers Ball
After a day of building miniature barns, the community gathers for an evening dance featuring live tunes from Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish. The BYOB celebration includes a dessert potluck and a chance to vote for the best barn model from earlier in the day. Suggested donation is $10 at the door, supporting future MVAGS programs and the historic barn‑raising legacy.
